Desktop app
When you use the OIMG desktop app to open, optimize, convert, preview, or export images, all work happens on your device. OIMG does not upload your images, generated previews, file names, folder paths, or export results.
The desktop app does not require an account, and we do not collect app telemetry, analytics events, crash reports, or advertising identifiers from the app.
Website and downloads
When you visit the OIMG website, view hosted media, or request a download, ordinary technical data may be processed by OIMG's hosting, CDN, download, package, or release infrastructure. This can include:
- IP address, browser or device information, and request timestamps.
- Pages, files, media, or download links requested from OIMG domains.
- Basic security and reliability information generated by hosting, CDN, download, or release providers.
We use this information for security, abuse prevention, reliability, debugging, bandwidth management, and understanding whether downloads are working. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Third-party services
OIMG links to or relies on a small number of external services for distribution and communication, such as GitHub for source code and releases, Cloudflare for hosting and media delivery, OS package managers, and Substack for blog articles. If you choose to visit those services, download through them, or subscribe there, their own privacy policies apply.
Support email
If you email us, we will receive the information you include in that message, such as your email address, name, and the content of your request. We use that information to reply, handle support, investigate issues, and keep reasonable records of the conversation.
Please do not send private images or sensitive files unless they are necessary for your request and you are comfortable sharing them.
No sale or targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for targeted advertising. We do not run behavioral advertising in OIMG.
Retention
We keep support messages and operational records only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required for security, legal, accounting, or abuse-prevention reasons. Hosting and infrastructure providers may keep their own logs under their own retention practices.
Changes
If OIMG's privacy practices change, we will update this page and revise the last updated date. Material changes should be described clearly rather than hidden in legal boilerplate.
